What we collect
Only what we need.
- Name and email — to identify and contact you about your order.
- Shipping address — to deliver your order.
- Payment metadata — handled by our payment processor. DualForce never stores full card numbers; we only retain the last four digits, brand, and expiration needed for refunds and chargebacks.
- Browsing behavior — pages visited, referrer, and basic device info — used to understand which products and pages are useful.
How we use it
- Order processing and fraud prevention. To ship to you, send order updates, and keep payment data and accounts safe.
- Email marketing — only for opted-in subscribers. We do not email marketing to anyone who has not explicitly opted in.
Email opt-in is not pre-checked
The marketing checkbox at checkout is not selected by default. You will only receive marketing emails after you actively opt in. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link in the footer; one click removes you from the list immediately.
We do not sell your data
DualForce does not sell or rent personal information to third-party advertisers. We share data only with the processors needed to run the store (payment processor, shipping carriers, email-sending service), and only the minimum they need to do their job.
Data retention
How long we keep things.
- 3 years for order and account records — to satisfy tax, warranty, and audit obligations under US/CA law.
- Within 30 days of unsubscribe for marketing list entries — you stop receiving marketing emails immediately, and the list entry is then permanently deleted on the next retention sweep.
- Aggregated analytics indefinitely — counts and ratios that no longer identify an individual. Useful for keeping the store healthy; no personal data is retained for this purpose.
